Mary has chosen the better part
  • Galatians 1:13-24
  • Psalm 139:1-3,13-15
  • Luke 10:38-42

Today’s readings draw us into the quiet yet powerful work of God within the human heart. The transformation of St. Paul reveals that God can reshape even the most unlikely life. This same God, who knows and forms each person completely, continues to guide our lives with care, reminding us that nothing is hidden from His loving gaze. Within this awareness emerges a deeper invitation to attentiveness. In the presence of Jesus, the contrast between activity and stillness becomes clear. While the desire to serve is good, it is the posture of listening that gives meaning to action. Without this grounding, even sincere efforts can become distractions from what is essential. The message leads us towards a correction of our priorities. Presence must come before action, and relationship must shape service. In a world filled with demands, we are called to pause, listen and centre our lives on what truly matters. From this stillness, life gains clarity, and our actions become life-giving.

PRAYER: Abba Father, guide us to choose what is essential and remain attentive to your presence. Amen.
