Blessed are those who hear the Word and observe it
  • Galatians 3:22-29
  • Psalm 105:2-7
  • Luke 11:27-28

It is easy to admire Jesus, listen to His words and even speak about Him, but discipleship demands more. In today’s Gospel reading, the Lord Jesus reminds us that true blessedness belongs to those who hear the Word of God and observe it. Faith cannot remain merely in our minds or on our lips; it must become visible in the way we live. St. Paul reminds us that through faith we have become children of God and have been clothed with Christ. This new identity calls us to live differently – with love, forgiveness, humility and compassion. Every day, God speaks to us through His Word. The question is not simply, “Do I listen to God?” but “Do I allow His Word to change me?” May we not be Christians who merely hear the Gospel, but disciples who put it into practice and allow Christ to be seen through our lives. May our lives become a living response to God’s Word, so that others may encounter Christ through the way we love and serve.

PRAYER: Abba Father, may our lives glorify you. Amen.
