Today we celebrate the Feast of Saints Simon and Jude, two Apostles who answered Christ’s call and gave their lives in faithful witness to the Gospel. Before choosing the Twelve, Jesus spent the night in prayer. This reminds us that every genuine vocation and mission begins with prayer and grows through a personal relationship with God. St. Simon and St. Jude were not among the most prominent Apostles, yet Jesus chose them and entrusted them with the mission of proclaiming His Kingdom. Their lives remind us that God does not call only the famous or the powerful; He calls ordinary people and gives them the grace to accomplish extraordinary things. We too are called to be witnesses of Christ in our families, workplaces and communities. Like the Apostles, we may not know where our journey will lead, but we can trust the One who calls us. May Saints Simon and Jude teach us to listen to God’s call, remain faithful and courageously share our faith with others.

PRAYER: We praise you, O God; the glorious company of Apostles praise you. Amen.
